Last year Royal Mail bought 872m red rubber bands at a cost of more than £1m.
And left most of them littering the streets
And I thank them for it.I haven't bought a pack of rubber bands in ages - just pick up the ones the posties drop.Waste not want not.
I live on the top floor so am constantly picking up the ones the post man drops when he's emptied his bundle of mail for our stair!
