Quiz

Which of the following statements is likely to be true:
1. "The cheque is in the post."

2. "Of course I'll still love you in the morning."

3. "I'm a management consultant - I'm here to help you."

4. "The final business case for Edinburgh's proposed tram system predicts the project will come in significantly under budget. It calculates the route through the city from Newhaven to Edinburgh Airport will cost just under £500m - £45m less than the funding already allocated."

No prizes.

Sounds like they've taken the gold-plated rails out of the design.

Well, given the price I'm assuming there were gold plated rails in the design...

£45m already allocated...

Oh not its not. The £45m capital from Edinburgh Council has only been agreed 'in principle' and will only be made available on approval of the business case which goes to the vote at the Council next Thursday.

If they have a final price then they must have a final route I would have though. As an example perhaps now they can release the detail of where they are sending the traffic when they close Shandwick place to cars?
