An occasional glimpse into the workings of the Scottish Parliament and the Scottish Executive (or comments on anything else that takes my fancy).
The Government has backed away in the face of speculation that it will impose a windfall tax on banks to punish them for paying excessive bonuses.
Actually the government has recapitalised the banks with our money to ensure the bankers can resume their normal service ASAP. The politicians won't do anything as they're looking to a cushy job with the financial sector when they are kicked out of Parliament in six months!
