You say you've never heard of them, but I bet you aren't that old and grumpy.
Spend 10 minutes on YouTube, and I will bet you've heard some of their music, if only used as incidental music on tv drama, or in adverts..
For example the 'If everybody looked the same' on the Merc commercials...
