Plonker

It's good to see that the London commentators are waking up to constitutional issues. But it would help if they did their homework. Here is Peter Riddell of The Times:
Moreover, the territorial departments are an anomaly. There is no case now for a separate Scotland Office, and a decreasing one for a Wales Office now that more legislative responsibility has been devolved to the Welsh Executive and Assembly.
Mr Riddell may wish to note that the Scotland Office has been part of the Department for Constitutional Affairs, now the Ministry of Justice, for a while. It's a shame that he has failed to notice, but don't let ignorance deter him from his pontifications.
